FENGZHE MANUFACTURING GUIDES

Everything You Need Before You Order

Planning a custom American Mahjong collection or sourcing acrylic products for your brand? This guide explains the practical details buyers need before requesting a quotation. Explore minimum quantities, samples, manufacturing, quality control, shipping and branding. Select a category below to jump directly to its questions.

01 Ordering, Pricing & MOQ

What is the minimum order quantity?
Minimum order quantities depend on tile construction, artwork, acrylic thickness, packaging and order volume. A standard design may have a different minimum from a fully custom layered American Mahjong set. Share your target quantity and reference images so our team can review feasibility. We recommend confirming the exact MOQ and price breaks in a formal quotation before approving samples.
How do I request an accurate quotation?
Please send your tile count, finished dimensions, material preferences, colors, artwork, accessories, packaging, estimated quantity and destination. Reference photos and a target delivery date are also useful. We will review the specifications and clarify any missing details before quoting. Complex designs may require a technical assessment, so quotation timing is confirmed for each project.
How are custom Mahjong sets priced?
Pricing reflects acrylic grade and thickness, layered construction, machining, UV printing or engraving, finishing, assembly, packaging and quantity. Additional design versions may involve extra setup work. Request an itemized quote showing product cost, sampling, tooling where applicable, freight and taxes separately. Compare suppliers using the same specifications and delivery terms.
Can new brands place smaller orders?
We welcome inquiries from new brands as well as established wholesale buyers. For a first collection, we recommend preparing a clear product brief and reviewing a physical sample before committing to production. We can discuss suitable materials, artwork and packaging options. Whether a small order is feasible depends on the particular design and manufacturing requirements.
Are tooling and sample fees charged separately?
Some designs use standard production equipment, while special shapes, molds or assembly fixtures may require additional setup. Sample development and revisions can also affect costs. Please ask for any such fees to be listed in the quotation and clarify whether tooling can be reused for future orders. Final arrangements should be confirmed in writing.

02 Samples & Prototypes

Can I get a physical sample before bulk production?
Physical samples allow you to evaluate tile weight, size, color, edge finish, printing, engraving, accessories and packaging. Sampling availability, cost and lead time depend on the design. We recommend retaining an approved reference sample together with written specifications so the production and inspection teams have a common standard.
Can I approve a sample through photos or video?
Photos and videos are useful for reviewing layout, print positioning and obvious visual issues, but screens and lighting can distort colors. They also cannot fully convey weight or surface texture. For a new layered acrylic design or important brand colors, physical sample approval is preferable. If remote approval is necessary, agree on close-up images and measurable acceptance criteria.
How are sample revisions handled?
Consolidate feedback about dimensions, artwork, colors, accessories and packaging into a single revision list. Some changes require only updated digital proofs, while others require a new physical sample. Revision limits and any additional fees depend on the agreed scope. Final approval should identify the exact artwork and product version intended for production.
Do repeat orders require a new sample?
An existing approved sample may be sufficient when the design, material and packaging remain unchanged, subject to confirmation. Changes to acrylic construction, color, artwork or production methods may require renewed approval. Keep the latest drawings and sample photos with the purchase order to reduce inconsistency between batches.

03 Production, Materials & QC

How long does bulk production take?
Lead time depends on material availability, order quantity, tile construction, printing or engraving complexity and packaging. A realistic schedule separates artwork approval, sampling, material preparation, manufacturing, inspection and dispatch. Share any retail launch or event deadline early. The final schedule should be confirmed in your quotation rather than assumed from a generic estimate.
What materials and thicknesses are available?
Acrylic may be transparent, translucent, opaque or colored, and some Mahjong designs use layered construction for additional visual depth. Thickness influences weight, handling, durability and fit with accessories. We can review options against your preferred appearance and budget. The approved specification should identify the exact material, dimensions and finish.
What manufacturing processes are involved?
Depending on the design, manufacturing may include precision cutting, CNC machining, polishing, engraving, UV printing, bonding, assembly and protective packaging. Not every product requires every process. Ask which steps apply to your project and how artwork accuracy, dimensions and surface finish are checked. An approved sample is an important reference throughout production.
How is product quality inspected?
Inspection may include incoming acrylic condition, tile dimensions, print registration, engraving detail, edge finishing, layer alignment, accessory counts and packaging. Acceptance criteria should be agreed against an approved sample and written specifications before bulk production. For larger orders, independent inspection may also be discussed.
What if products arrive damaged or defective?
Please report the issue with the order reference, affected quantities, clear photos and a description of the problem. Keep original packaging if transit damage is suspected. The appropriate solution depends on the approved specification, inspection agreement and shipping terms. We recommend defining the claims procedure before production starts.

04 Shipping & Payment

Which international shipping methods are available?
International express, air freight and sea freight may be considered depending on destination, shipment size and urgency. Each has different transit times, customs requirements and costs. Share the delivery country, postal code and target arrival date so appropriate arrangements can be reviewed. The quotation should clearly identify the service and responsibilities included.
Do you offer DDP or duty-paid delivery?
DDP arrangements may be available for some routes but should never be assumed. Confirm the Incoterm and whether import duties, taxes, customs clearance and last-mile delivery are included. DDP and DAP allocate responsibilities differently, so all charges and obligations should be confirmed in writing before payment.
Can you arrange partial shipments?
Partial shipments may be possible when some items are ready earlier or when an event date is approaching. However, splitting an order can increase freight, handling and customs costs. Request a revised shipping quote, packing details and delivery schedule before approving separate dispatches.
How can I track my shipment?
Express shipments usually have a carrier tracking number. Air or sea freight may use an airway bill, bill of lading or freight forwarder updates. Confirm what tracking information and documents you will receive. Tracking events may take time to appear after the shipment is handed to the logistics provider.
Which payment methods and terms are accepted?
Payment options and deposit or balance schedules are confirmed in the formal quotation or invoice. For custom manufacturing, it helps to connect payment milestones with artwork approval, sampling and shipment. Verify beneficiary details through your established communication channel before transferring funds.

05 Design Files, Branding & IP

Are CAD drawings required for an inquiry?
You can start with sketches, reference photographs, existing samples and basic measurements. CAD files are especially helpful for complex shapes or precise assemblies. Describe the intended use, tile count, artwork and dimensions. Final manufacturing drawings and specifications should be approved before production.
What branding methods are available?
Depending on the product, options may include custom tile-face artwork, logos, UV printing, engraving, names, dates, brand colors and branded packaging. Different methods have different visual effects and costs. Provide high-resolution or vector artwork where possible and confirm placement and colors on an approved sample.
Can you match Pantone or brand colors?
Pantone numbers and physical samples help communicate color requirements. The finished appearance can vary with acrylic transparency, base color, decoration process and lighting. For critical brand colors, agree on a physical reference and acceptable variation rather than relying on screen previews alone.
Who owns the design files? Can we discuss an NDA?
If your artwork or product design is proprietary, discuss confidentiality, ownership, exclusivity and permitted use of files before sharing sensitive materials. Any nondisclosure agreement or restrictions on displaying finished products should be documented in writing. A standard quotation does not automatically establish intellectual-property rights.

06 Product Range & Customization

What Mahjong products can be customized?
Customization may include American Mahjong tile designs, acrylic color combinations, layered construction, racks, accessories, storage solutions and branded gift packaging. Feasibility depends on dimensions, material properties and production methods. Send reference photos or drawings so we can discuss practical options and adjustments before sampling.
What information should I include in my inquiry?
Include the product type, intended market, tile count, dimensions, thickness, color references, artwork, accessories, packaging, estimated quantity, destination and desired arrival date. Reference photos and a target budget can help clarify priorities and reduce revisions.
Can I order an existing design without customization?
If an existing design meets your needs, ask whether it is available with standard artwork and packaging or limited branding. A simpler configuration may reduce development work, but availability, minimum quantities and lead times must still be confirmed by quotation.
Can multiple designs be combined in one order?
Mixing colors, artwork or packaging may be possible, but each variation affects setup, assembly, labeling and inspection. Provide the quantity required for every version so feasibility and any additional charges can be evaluated. Confirm the final configuration breakdown before production.
